Role Overview:
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for either professional services, IT, or infrastructure categories, in alignment with company objectives and budget constraints.
- Conduct market analysis, supplier evaluations, and negotiations to optimize cost savings, quality, and service levels within the designated category.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers within the specified category, fostering partnerships to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, and IT (depending on the category), to understand business requirements and develop procurement strategies that meet their needs.
- Drive compliance with procurement policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices specific to the designated category.
- Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry developments within the specified category to identify opportunities for improvement and risk mitigation.
- Lead contract negotiations and manage contract lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, and finalizing agreements to mitigate risks and maximize value within the designated category.
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior members of the procurement team within the specified category, fostering their professional development and growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on indirect categories such as professional services, IT, or infrastructure (depending on the role).
- Proven track record of successfully managing sourcing projects, negotiating contracts, and delivering cost savings within the specified category.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in procurement tools and systems, such as ERP software and e-sourcing platforms.
- Fluency in German and English is required.
