Sr Control Engineer – Warehouse Automation – (Indianapolis, IN or Columbus, OH or Chicago, IL)

The Mission

The SR. CONTROL ENGINEER is crucial in realizing the customers’ automated warehousing vision.

The goal is to commission robots and shuttles and integrate them into warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and a clean workplace.
• Understand project scope from designs and estimates.
• Plan and deploy resources for site activities.
• Maintain document ledger and material records.
• Monitor project pace and adjust schedules.
• Identify scope changes and inform the project manager.
• Resolve on-site issues and escalate as needed.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to address site issues.
• Manage contractors and update management on progress.
• Keep organized project reports via PLM & SAP.
• Conduct quality control and performance tests.
• Participate in reviews with contractors and hierarchy.
• Be available during overlapping hours with global teams.

Compulsory Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Engineering (related fields).
• 7-10 years in automation project commissioning.
• Experience with Automated Material Handling Systems preferred.
• Proficient in PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Familiar with Rockwell and Siemens platforms.
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols.
• Experience with CAD and strong English skills.
• Siemens PLC experience required.
• Willing to travel and work on-site.
• Based near specified locations or willing to travel for training.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
