Job Summary:
The Clinical Director is responsible for overseeing and developing the Clinical Department and services provided by the facility, aimed at improving children’s mental health, which includes but is not limited to planning and implementing strategies for program continuation and growth. The Clinical Director is responsible for providing effective leadership to the clinical and administrative departments in day-to-day communications with staff, clients and the community. Clinical Director works with the clinical team to motivate the patients and assist in their levels of care.

- Regularly review and recommend changes in program services to ensure patients are being provided excellent care and to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Assist with the implementation and monitoring of compliance with the state and regulatory agencies as well as Joint Commission accreditation standards and ethical guidelines.
- Recruit, hire, supervise, train, and evaluate all clinical staff.
- Provide clinical consultations with patients and their families in regard to participation, behavior issues, or other clinical concerns. Assess to ensure patients are at the most appropriate level of care. If higher level of care is needed, refer client.
- Provide education and resources to families to help them support their children’s behavioral health needs.
- Available by phone or in-person for crisis management.
- Review clinical staff documentation, participate in training with compliance documentation
- Participate in Performance improvement meetings and data collection.
- Provide regular clinical supervision to staff through individual and group sessions.
- Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators related to client outcomes.
- Facilitate ongoing professional development of staff.
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners, schools, and other healthcare providers to enhance service delivery and support for patients.
- Represent the clinic at community events, professional meetings, and other forums to promote its services and mission.
- Assist in the management of the budget, ensuring resources are used effectively and efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited college/university, minimum of Masters Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or Mental Health Counseling
- 5+ years experience within the mental health field, 2+ years management experience
- LICDC-S, LISAW or similar
- CPR Certification Required
- Experience having responsibility for pediatric/adolescent populations
