Field Applications Engineer – California – Semiconductor Industry

Role Overview:
As a Field Applications Engineer (FAE), you will be the technical bridge between our client’s products and their customers, ensuring successful implementation and providing support on product applications and system solutions. Your primary focus will be on pre- and post-sales support, including product presentations, testing, and customer training across the United States

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a technical advisor to customers, identifying and understanding their needs to offer the best solutions based on product specifications.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Product Development teams to drive new product introductions and customer design-ins.
  • Provide technical training and support to customers, including troubleshooting, testing, and debugging semiconductor applications.
  • Conduct in-depth product presentations and technical demonstrations to showcase capabilities and benefits.
  • Assist in evaluating and testing products to ensure compatibility with customer requirements.
  • Work closely with customers on-site, supporting their development process and achieving design wins.
  • Gather and communicate customer feedback to R&D and Sales to drive product improvements and market alignment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Field Applications Engineer role within the semiconductor industry.
  • Strong knowledge of analog and digital ICs and familiarity with circuit design and board layout.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical information to customers.
  • Proficiency with technical tools and platforms (e.g., Altium, Cadence) and familiarity with basic scripting languages.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to travel within the United States up to 40% of the time.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with semiconductor applications in automotive, industrial, or IoT sectors.
  • Master’s degree or advanced technical certifications.
