We are partnering with a leading Dietary Supplement Contract Manufacturer who are seeking a R&D Formulation Manager to join their growing team. As the R&D Manager, you will be in charge of costing, formulation, and development of master manufacturing records.
Job Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with quality systems and cGMP programs.
- Supervise R&D personnel as assigned when required.
- Generate and process quotes upon requests from Sales and Senior Leadership.
- Develop Supplement Facts and/or Nutrition Facts Panels for labels per FDA standards.
- Review and approve product labels to confirm compliance with FDA regulations.
- Implement changes to formulas and batch instructions, including issuing change orders and deviations.
- Collaborate with fellow R&D Managers to evaluate and approve raw materials.
- Work with various R&D teams as directed.
- Utilize internal systems to input and search ingredient details, including allergens, GM status, and nutritional info.
- Provide consultation to the Sales team and participate in customer calls as needed.
- Engage professionally with customers to enhance the sales process.
- Create, review, edit, and approve new master manufacturing records.
- Assist QA and production teams when product quality is in question or during production issues.
- Create gel swatches to match colored softgel shells with existing and new product samples.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years applicable work experience with a degree, or 10 years applicable work experience without a degree.
- Must have experience with soft gel formulation and dietary supplements.
