Mackenzie Stuart is working in close partnership with a 3rd party logistics firm with a focus on Rail & FTL Transport across Western Europe.
Responsibilities:
- Business Growth: Identify, target, and develop new business opportunities within the FTL & Rail space across Eastern & Central Europe.
- Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients and partners, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Taking over a number of high-value existing customers from day one.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute effective sales strategies, including market research, competitor analysis, and sales forecasting, to drive revenue growth.
- Negotiation & Closing: Lead negotiations, close high-value deals, and manage the full sales cycle, ensuring alignment with company goals and profitability targets.
- Market Expansion: Explore new market segments and geographies to expand the company’s footprint and increase market share.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations, marketing, and finance teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare regular sales reports, including pipeline management, performance metrics, and market insights to inform senior management.
- Brand Promotion: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of proven experience in logistics sales or business development, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in both English and German (written and spoken) with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the logistics and supply chain market, including trends, challenges, and key players in the industry.
- Sales Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing sales strategies, closing deals, and managing client relationships within the logistics sector.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in using data to drive business decisions and strategies.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-Motivated: Highly motivated, proactive, and results-oriented, with a passion for driving business growth and achieving success.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
