Vice President of Sales & Marketing – Germany – Semiconductor Industry

Mackenzie Stuart is partnering with a prominent semiconductor company specialising in turnkey SoC design, focusing on large ASICs, FPGAs, and embedded software predominantly for automotive applications. Role Overview:

The Vice President of Sales & Marketing will primarily drive sales efforts while overseeing marketing strategies to enhance market share growth and revenue. This role centres around building strategic relationships with key clients, leading a high-performing team across Europe, Asia, and the US, and expanding into new markets. Reporting directly to the Chief Sales Officer, this senior leader will be pivotal in positioning the company as a preferred partner in the European semiconductor industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a robust sales and marketing strategy, with a strong sales focus.
  • Serve as the key point of contact for European sales communications with teams across the US and Asia.
  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key accounts within the automotive sector, focusing on long-term partnerships.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in emerging markets and product segments related to SoC design, SoC design, ASICs, and FPGAs.
  • Collaborate closely with ASIC Product Development, Engineering, and Customer Support teams to ensure effective go-to-market strategies.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and adapt strategies proactively.

Qualifications:

  • Strong technical background is key; Bachelors in Engineering minimum.
  • Minimum of 15 years of sales experience in the semiconductor industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in SoC design.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and expanding market share in the automotive sector.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor technology and the ability to engage with highly technical professionals.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively relay information across diverse teams.
  • Fluent English; German language skills are ideal but not mandatory.

Compensation:

€150,000 + target-based bonus

Location:

Hannover, Germany; 50% of time required in the office when in the country. 30% global travel expected.
