I completed my studies in International Business Management at Liverpool John Moore University, eager to apply the skills I acquired to kickstart my professional journey. Recruitment appeared to be a natural fit, aligning well with the communication & research abilities honed during my degree.

Mackenzie Stuart stood out as the perfect launchpad for my career aspirations. The company’s commitment to personal growth, championed by a dedicated team of consultants and managers, was evident from the outset. Despite common misconceptions, the recruitment industry is fundamentally about sales and business development.

From my initial interview, I knew it would be a great place to work as the team were outgoing and were clearly passionate about what they did. Hearing about the progression and incentives that many of the graduates made so quickly definitely appealed to me.

The training I received equipped me with the confidence to work independently, knowing that I had the support of my experienced manager whenever needed. The lively and open office environment fostered a positive atmosphere, providing continuous support and encouragement.

Although initially unfamiliar with the Water Chemicals market, I embraced the opportunity to explore and make it my own. I’m excited to see how I continue to grow & develop at Mackenzie Stuart – my ultimate goal is to take on more responsibilities, potentially leading and managing my own team in the near future.

I studied Politics and International Relations at the University of Nottingham, and was eager to utilise the skills I gained at University & start my professional career. After exploring several companies, Mackenzie Stuart stood out to me due to the investment they put into their graduates – they only promote internally meaning that the opportunities for growth & progression are endless! I was also attracted by earning potential at Mackenzie Stuart & the social incentives offered.

I have already enjoyed many of the incentives that Mackenzie Stuart offer – from a trip to Dublin, to an amazing Christmas party & the many end of period socials! After completing my studies at Newcastle University, I joined Mackenzie Stuart to embark on a career in executive search. What excited me most was the chance to dive into the top echelons of the industry right away, collaborating with industry leaders and fostering strong connections with candidates and clients.

Mackenzie Stuart’s “work hard, play hard” ethos, coupled with competitive incentives, resonated with me, especially given my background as a competitive swimmer. I was drawn to a role that rewards resilience and a hard-working mentality, traits I’ve honed through years of dedication to my sport.

Despite the transition from university to the office, the company’s focus on hiring graduates ensured a supportive environment with peers sharing a similar journey. What particularly stood out was the opportunity to rapidly grow my salary through quarterly appraisals and a fantastic commission structure, aligning perfectly with my ambitions for professional development and financial success.

After graduating from the Leeds Beckett University with a Degree in Marketing, I was eager to begin a career that would not only challenge me but also provide a dynamic and fast-paced environment where I could continuously grow and develop my skills. I considered several different career paths, but I was particularly drawn to opportunities that allowed me to be in control of my own success and directly influence my earnings. This led me to pursue a career in Executive Search.

Mackenzie Stuart immediately stood out to me because of its clear opportunities for progression. Unlike some of the roles I had encountered previously, where career growth often felt limited by a “glass ceiling”, Mackenzie Stuart offered a unique environment where hard work and performance were directly rewarded. I saw a place where my ambitions would be matched by opportunities to advance and where I could truly carve out my own path.

The onboarding process at Mackenzie Stuart was thorough and comprehensive, providing continuous training that laid a solid foundation for my role. From day one, I was equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed. This training helped build my confidence, enabling me to fully immerse myself in the role and actively engage with both clients and candidates. The hands-on experience I gained from these interactions was invaluable, reinforcing my belief that this was the right career choice for me.

I was fortunate to be placed in a market segment that genuinely piqued my interest: the Fragrance and Flavour B2B industry. Over time, I have developed a comprehensive understanding of its unique dynamics and challenges. I now consider myself a specialist in this niche sector, which has been both professionally rewarding and personally fulfilling.

After studying International Business Management at Northumbria University, I wanted a career that would push me and offer plenty of room for growth. Recruitment felt like the right path, giving me the chance to connect with people and make a real impact.

Ironically, growing up, chemistry was for sure my least favourite academic subject. So, it’s funny that I now specialize in the chemicals market—but I’ve actually come to really enjoy it and wouldn’t switch for anything else. I’ve built some great relationships, particularly in the coatings and adhesives space and I’m excited to establish many more!

Since joining Mackenzie Stuart, I’ve had fantastic support from the team and quickly felt at home. I knew I wanted to do recruitment throughout my final year at University and Mackenzie Stuart was actually the first place I interviewed for. As soon as I’d completed the first stage I knew it was the place I wanted to be. The opportunities for development and the positive, fast-paced environment have made my journey here a great experience, and I’m excited to see where it takes me next.
